Oh, how we absolutely love that we had Keely Donahue as our Nurse. She is one of the sweetest people that we have ever met. She went above and beyond her "normal" duties when it came to my husband.
My husband was in the hospital for seven long days, after having a very serious bypass surgery. We met Keely on our fifth day and what a joy she was to meet. My husband was going stir crazy not being able to go off the unit. So, this sweet nurse said to give her some time to catch up on her work and she would wheel him down to the cafeteria and sit with him in the rocking chairs for a change of scenery.
Please understand that I couldn't do this because he wouldn't be monitored anymore. Keely kept her promise to him. She came in, put him in a wheelchair and sat with him in the Atrium. Now, some people may not see the importance of this, but my husband did! Keely is an incredible nurse as well as a compassionate human being, who I believe loves her job and you see it in her attitude.
