October 2023 Honoree
Keisha Leiba, RN
My husband was admitted with double pneumonia. On the day he felt like giving up, Keisha shared her traumatic story. A couple of years back, she was in a car accident that could have taken her life but was spared. She told us all that she went through and had to relearn how to walk, talk, and be a nurse, even though she was told her memory might not ever come back. Now she's here, at my husband's bedside. Keisha's story was so profound that it gave my husband the drive to fight. Today, he is on 3 liters of oxygen and still says, "If Keisha can do it, so can I." She is the epitome of what a nurse should be. Thank you, Keisha!
Thank you, Keisha, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
