I was in the ICU after suffering a heart attack. Keith was the day nurse assigned to my care for two days. Keith constantly wanted to know how I was doing and if there was anything he could do for me or my wife. He made it a point to educate me on the anatomy of my heart and the nature of the procedures and medications I was receiving. He carefully explained everything that was happening. He demonstrated a sense of humor, yet always was serious when engaged in patient education. Keith also assisted me with many chores, including personal hygiene. He ensured I had all the needed supplies, such as toothpaste and shampoo. He even made sure we had the right chairs and plenty of blankets. Yet, he did that all with concern for my dignity and without sounding like I was ignorant. I think he epitomizes "A Healer's Touch".
