If I may, I’d like to recognize the extraordinary professionalism and performance of Keith, who served as the primary nurse for my wife.

After three lengthy hospital stays at HCA Health over the past ten months, I’ve had the opportunity to observe many nurses perform in a variety of situations. As a senior leader in several corporations, I have spent much of my career coaching executives to improve their performance, particularly in identifying and recognizing excellence. Keith clearly stands out amongst the rest. 

All the right words apply: professional, knowledgeable, compassionate, and an excellent communicator. He provides patients with a clear understanding of what is happening and what to expect next, which greatly reduces anxiety and builds trust and confidence in his care.

As I observed the nursing team, it was evident that Keith is respected and admired by his peers, and rightfully so. His actions reflect a deep empathy for the needs and concerns of his patients. He serves as a role model for newer, impressionable nurses, demonstrating that every task, no matter how small, deserves care, quality, and attention to detail.

Keith’s motivation is not external recognition but a genuine desire to meet his own high standards and provide exceptional care. He is humble, dependable, and committed to excellence.
