A patient was admitted with back injuries from a truck accident. While transporting goods, his truck fell in a riverbed. When the patient's family heard about the accident, they traveled from California to Lubbock to see the patient. Keith Leano, RN the admitting nurse made sure the patient and family members were well taken care of. Since the wife and daughter are from California, Keith offered his house for them to stay while their patient is in the hospital. The wife and daughter are still staying at Keith's house for free. The patient had two back surgeries already and discharge date is still unknown. Keith really showed compassion for offering his home to strangers. What he has done is exceptional. He just showed that UMC really cares about everyone. He has a giving heart especially during times when people really need help.
