Recently we have been down a few nurses but Keli has pushed her sleeves up and jumped right in to help wherever she is needed.
Keli Hurley, manager of ECU Health Wound Healing Center is a dedicated leader who always says "Yes" when it comes to helping any member of her team. Recently we have been down a few nurses but Keli has pushed her sleeves up and jumped right in to help wherever she is needed. Keli constantly is taking each day as a chance to learn and grow. She has taken over monitoring all Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy patients recently which was a huge help in our clinic.

Keli Looks through each new patient referral to prioritize them according to need. Keli has worked with each nurse to allow for time off when needed, all while onboarding a new nurse and patient access rep. In the middle of COVID and a nursing shortage, Keli sat on the planning committee for the first annual Vidant Wound Symposium. Keli goes above and beyond to make sure that our clinic runs smoothly. She is a wonderful nurse first but most importantly she CARES about staff, patients, and visitors.

Through Keli's leadership, we have been able to see many patients most of the time the same day which has saved the patient a hospital admission. Keli works closely with our physicians in a positive way and often paves the way for virtual care or getting care to patients in the region. Keli has a high bar set with standards that are just as high but it is her that gets us to the top and gets our center noticed. ECU Health Wound Center is lucky to have Keli Hurley as our manager. She is a true example of what a DAISY Nurse Leader is. Caring, compassionate, honest, and hard-working are just a few words to describe Keli. Keli gets us through the hard days with her help and support and teaches us to appreciate and celebrate the good days. Thank you Keli for all you do for your staff. You continue to grow our center and help us to achieve better outcomes for our patients and our community.
