My wife was in the Hospice care unit at ChristianaCare Hospital. At that time, I had a left hip replacement at the Center for Advanced Joint Replacement. Ms. Kelin Stanley was my nurse following successful hip surgery. Kelin provided me with both compassionate and outstanding nursing care. The depth of her knowledge and professional skills were evident to me.
Upon discharge, my biggest concern was how to transfer from the Joint unit to Hospice to be with my wife which I expressed to Kelin. Kelin went above and beyond her duties and following her shift, transported me to Hospice to be with my wife. I also had my right hip replaced this year. I asked the staff about Kelin and was informed she had the day off. Following my surgery that morning, I was walking with staff assistance. Upon reaching the nurse station I couldn't believe my eyes. There stood Kelin, who drove from her home to visit me on her day off! Our reunion was tearful and joyous.
The next day she requested to care for me again - almost one year to the day. Kelin Stanley is an asset to ChristianaCare Health System and truly an Angel!
