Kellee Carter goes above and beyond daily as a nurse manager. A recent example of this is our latest ice storm. During a time of uncertainty, she ensured that each staff member had a place to sleep, food to eat, and a shower each day. I myself spent two nights at the hospital to ensure my safe arrival to work. She connected with each employee who was scheduled that weekend to lend her assistance and support us in any way she could. Because of Kellee, both the day and night shifts were preassigned rooms where we could relax and sleep during our off time. This took the worry out of finding somewhere to sleep and bathe. No one enjoys having to stay past their allotted shift, but because of our fantastic nurse leader, it was completely bearable. I know Kellee will continue to provide for her staff's needs and advocate for our safety.
