April 2021 Honoree
Kelli Deaton, RN
My grandson experienced an accidental drowning. Although we were allowed (grandparents) to see him briefly in the ER prior to being admitted, visitation was restricted to parents on the unit.
Kelli was very attentive to his needs. We were constantly face timing his parents and Kelli was always there soothing our grandson with his favorite show's theme song on her phone.
Although he was intubated and sedated, you could tell that what she was doing made a huge difference. The next day he was scheduled to be extubated from the ventilator. Kelli, Patsy and another young male Nurse brought him all the characters from his favorite show for when he woke up. They are amazing!

Thank you, Kelli, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
