Kelli Herbold, BSN, RN

I am a nurse in the ICU and we shared a patient together. I believe that Kelli is the reason this patient is alive and well today. If it wasn't for her intuition and care for this patient's safety, I believe this patient wouldn't have lived. She came in at shift change and called a code stroke on a man that had been going through years of medical problems and other hospitals not doing what is needed. Kelli saved this man's life because of her care and attention to detail for the safety of her patients. The patient was then transferred to me in the ICU and I had the pleasure to take care of him. As a nurse to a fellow nurse, Kelli truly showed what it means to be an amazing nurse and why we all chose this profession. She is the perfect example of what a DAISY Award Honoree should be.
