November 2017 Honoree
kelli kaupiko, RN, BSN
I came in for delivery and Kelli was my nurse. She was very kind, funny and attentive. She explained everything she was doing, which was nice because this was my first pregnancy and I had no idea what I was doing. My baby's heart rate would keep dropping whenever I had a contraction and she would keep repositioning me to get baby comfortable while still keeping an eye on the monitors. Kelli was supportive while I was getting my epidural as well.
When it came to the decision of doing a C-section, Kelli was there the entire way and kept my mom and I well informed. Having the C-section, we found out that my baby had his umbilical cord wrapped around his neck twice and it had to have been for a few days from what they observed. Having Kelli there made everything easier for me. With nurses and doctors constantly coming in and out of my room could have been stressful had I not had Kelli's constant presence.

Thank you, Kelli, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
