She helped us in any way she could, got us anything we needed, checked in on our daughter and us, and spent time with us to help ease our stress.
My wife and I took our 2-day-old daughter into the ER, where she was treated under suspicion of meningitis until her cultures came back. It was a very scary time for my wife and me, and when we got to our room, we met nurse Kelli. She continued to be our night nurse for the remainder of our stay. She helped us in any way she could, got us anything we needed, checked in on our daughter and us, and spent time with us to help ease our stress.
She looked after our daughter as if she were her own. We spent 48 hours in her and her sister's care. Even when my wife was taken to a different area of the hospital and diagnosed with postpartum preeclampsia, Kelli made every effort to help us out, including setting up and washing my wife’s breast pump parts, and taking me to my wife and checking on her.
Her sister, Kayla Hudson, was our day nurse during this time, and I would also like to recognize her for going above and beyond for us. She helped my wife figure out her breast pump and offered words of advice and encouragement to us. Together, both sisters went truly above and beyond to help us in the scariest time of our lives.
