A night of absolute chaos was made manageable by Kellie when she stepped up to assist her confused and combative patient. The patient was completely confused and yelling incessantly overnight. She required non-stop supervision and constant redirection. No staff were available to act as sitter, so Kellie sat in the patient's room for the entirety of the shift. Throughout the shift, not once did Kellie lose her cool or become impatient. She maintained compassionate care for this patient despite verbal abuse and the continuous stream of yelling.
