Kelly Blagg was recently nominated by a peer, who was moved by Kelly’s compassion in reaching out to a gentleman whose wife passed away at Saint Agnes. In speaking with the patient’s husband, Kelly learned that he had no other family, friends or neighbors to assist him through this tragic situation. Kelly was so moved by his circumstances that she used one of her days off to go to the woman’s funeral in Oakhurst. At the service, there were only three mourners – the patient’s husband, Kelly and the pastor. Knowing that the patient’s husband wouldn’t feel like cooking, Kelly also brought a meal for him. He was shocked that anyone could be so thoughtful and kind to a virtual stranger.
