My father-in-law recently had a CABG procedure, and as a previous nurse in a CICU in Atlanta I knew what to expect regarding the first few hours after surgery, but my family did not. Kelly was excellent in explaining the tubes and devices attached to our loved one and what each one did to help in his care. She communicated changes and procedures and kept our family updated on his condition. Kelly was a great patient advocate by explaining to us why and when he needed rest, but did so in a calming and comforting way. Kelly was sensitive to our needs and to the needs of her patient, she was supportive and encouraging and was tactful in her care. Kelly is a stand out nurse and deserves recognition for her amazing care.
