I was having my first child with my husband at Beaumont Hospital in Farmington Hills. My 40-week long pregnancy was a breeze. We were having a son! I was at the hospital all morning with contractions and into the night I was dilated to 5 cm. Then it was shift change in the hospital, and Kelly walked in. I didn’t know she (along with my husband) would be my guardian angel. She was kind, attentive, and above all else caring. She also expressed high standards of professionalism, attention to detail, and effective interpersonal skills. Kelly introduced herself to us in a kind manner and didn’t mind getting to know my husband and me on a personal level. She made the hospital feel warm and welcoming. She made the epidural seem so easy and helped me through everything. I had to have an emergency c-section, and it was scary. She reassured me my son and husband were waiting for me. I cannot thank her enough. She is an amazing asset to the hospital, and I did not want her hard work to go unnoticed. She even came back to check on me and say goodbye when her shift was over!
