June 2024 Honoree
Kelly Fitch, BSN, RN
I am a 54 year combat veteran who tried to commit suicide. I had never been in a hospital for mental health and was afraid to discuss and open up about it. From the moment I met nurse Kelly Fitch she put me at ease. She was instrumental in allowing me to open up and face the issues that brought me to this situation. I am not sure I could have without her kind and caring demeanor. It started the moment I walked into Snyder House because she was assigned my intake. Although confronting and dealing with these issues in a truthful manner falls upon me, I truly believe I would have been too apprehensive, too isolated, and too embarrassed to confront my issues.
Thank you, Kelly, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
