My mom and I drove here from Victoria. It was a rough long day full of emotions because we were told I may lose my eye. So we had to rush here. My nurse Kelly was the absolute Best! She made me feel so comfortable and calmed my nerves. This is actually my 1st time ever being in the hospital. Kelly felt more like a friend to me along with being my nurse. That night my mom and I went from crying to laughing, singing, and dancing with Kelly in my room. She made it feel like it was a girl's night and we were having a slumber party. She definitely took my mind off everything going on! She and I had a special bond and I cried when she got off and was going to be gone for a few days. I just love Kelly.
