Kelly is well deserved for the DAISY Award as she excels in One Team, One Purpose. She starts with a positive attitude (and hug if needed) at huddle until the end of her shift. She is always accessible to help out, and provide information or education on a new product/procedure. She is a cheerleader for everyone on the unit no matter what your role is. She motivates by example of teamwork and compassion and gives 100% to each patient/family member. Our unit is blessed to have her, she has a wealth of knowledge and will assist with advocating for a patient to make the best outcome for their Bryan experience. I have never heard her say “I can’t,” “I don’t have time,” or “I am too busy.” Her vocabulary is “I will be right there,” “How can I help?”, “I will get you that information”, and “I will show you.” When rolling out the new model of care, she was instrumental in the transition. She has been spending time orienting our new staff to the model and supporting/listening to the concerns of current staff. She is truly committed to Bryan’s core values and our unit’s success.
