As a physician myself, I have interacted with many nurses over the past 35 years. Kelly Holmes provided my 90-year-old mother with two nights of exceptional care. She was kind and compassionate and went above and beyond in providing care to my mother, who was experiencing a lower GI bleed. Kelly handled a more urgent situation calmly and efficiently, ensuring vitals remained stable, notifying physicians, and calling the lab.

She was also willing to do the “scut stuff” such as cleaning blood that was all over the bathroom herself, and emptying trash bags. She also tenderly washed and cleaned the blood from my mother and reassured her that all would be okay. Her care was so extraordinary that when she was leaving for the day, my 90-year-old mother said, “Thank you, Kelly - you were wonderful. Best of luck - you have a very bright future ahead.”
