We had an elderly patient admitted to our unit. The patient wasn't doing well and was progressively declining. Kelly stayed on top of the patient's care and maintained communication with the family and physician. The granddaughter was a hospice nurse and was struggling with making a decision regarding plan of care. Kelly was able to be a supportive resource for the granddaughter and help her take herself out of the nursing mindset and back into the granddaughter role. The care she provided was above and beyond. She was a great resource for the patient and the family. Her care was sincere and heartfelt.
