My 95-year-old mother was brought to UMC Emergency Room because she fell and sustained a head injury and bleed. My phone lost its battery charge. When the Admit physician asked about the medication my mom was taking, I told her the information was in my phone and I had no battery. Unbeknownst to me, Kelly heard and went to get her charger. Lucky for me, it was a rapid charger! Kelly did a wonderful job of showing support and compassion. She explained each step of the care process She checked on Mom frequently. She kept me informed. I asked her how could she do this every day with so many different patients' lives and often in critical stages requiring multi-tasking expertise. Her reply, "I left another hospital to come here because I want to help and I thrive on the daily changes and challenges." UMC, Kelly Jordan is a keeper and deserves this recognition!
