Kelly M Mitchell, RN

This RN has been a consistent provider of excellent nursing care services as well as a knowledge source for her teammates. She is a preceptor and is sought out from other branches, to assist with precepting their staff as well. She maintains her Clinical Nurse II status and is a strong advocate for her patients. This nurse goes above and beyond to ensure patients receive needed orders, supplies, and follow-ups from providers. She developed education to help improve communication skills and critical thinking for her teammates, when caring for high acuity/medically complex patients, to help streamline coordination of care and reduce re-hospitalizations and/or ED visits. She also advocates for her profession and teammates by participating on committees and providing input for process improvements. She is an outstanding nurse and leader in her field.
