Kelly Sentman has been with Premier health for 7 years as a night shift charge nurse and has grown to be an exceptional nurse for multiple reasons, such as being a Team Player: She always has the unit and the coworkers in mind during every shift. She is usually the team lead and ensures that all work gets done even if that means having to take on more personal responsibilities. Those qualities are impressive in themselves but by being a team player she also leads by example and educates/challenges her coworkers to grow. Just after a year she has already taken upon roles such as mentor, preceptor and helped with staff education. Kelly goes above and beyond for her patients, while she does give amazing care, being a behavioral health nurse requires one to take their time and sit with patients through their hardships of life. There have been many compliments that were left from the patients thanking Kelly specifically for her care. This would be difficult for most but since Kelly is skilled with communication with behavioral health patients this translates to good communication with her peers and physicians. She makes sure to communicate the needs of the patient and be that patient's advocate. She does have bad days but one would never know due to her persistence to ensure quality care for patients. This is why Kelly is an exceptional nurse and deserves to be recognized for all the good she has done
