Kelly is a tribute to her profession and someone that McLaren should be proud to have on its staff.
Among the initiatives Kelly took was ordering special boots for my wife's feet to prevent her heels from getting sorer. She was concerned with the look of S's pacemaker incision and called for a physician to take a look at it right away. Kelly was gentle with my wife, patiently listening to her (among other things, S's speech is impaired by her Parkinson's), has a great attitude, and is very compassionate.
More importantly, Kelly is contagious - but in a good way. She always has a smile on her face and a chuckle to help brighten a patient's day.
She sincerely cares not only for her patients but their visitors, too. In my case, Kelly knew that I was driving 3-4 hours roundtrip through wintery weather every day to visit my wife. She always asked me if I needed anything when I arrived at the hospital and would tell me to be careful driving back home in the evening. Even at the end of a 12-hour shift, Kelly was still a beacon of happiness. Pretty amazing.
As a baby boomer, it was really refreshing to meet someone nowadays with such a work ethic, attitude, and personality.
