Kelly wears many different hats on West 9. She is a relief charge nurse and orientation coordinator for both nursing and care partner staff. Kelly is a natural leader and a patient mentor to new and senior staff. She does an excellent job advocating for her patients and is nominated frequently for various awards/recognition. With every patient, she strives to go above and beyond expectations and demonstrates endless compassion for patients and their families. Families often say she "puts them at ease" and that they"trust her completely" while she is caring for their children. Kelly is energetic and passionate about patientcare; she truly embodies the Children's values. We are lucky to have Kelly on West 9, as she is a vital member of our team.

Kelly walked into the room with a smile as my son slept and sat down by me and asked how I was doing. Then asked first hand from me, what was going on with my son and didn't rely on the chart. She included me in his care and took my opinions seriously. When the doctors came in, she helped me advocate for my son. Kelly's caring and compassionate attitude brought me great comfort and ease. We were fortunate to have her. She helped me greatly even though it was only one day. Thank you so much for your compassion and expertise. You truly made a difference!

Kelly is an amazing nurse. While here, she really lifted my spirits and made me feel that despite my sickness, everything would turn out for the best. As hard as it is being away from my family, she really made this hospital stay comfortable and enjoyable. Her efforts to make sure I was okay will always be remembered. She is truly an awesome nurse.
