Kelly, you asked me for names to care for my dogs. You called me at UVA Charlottesville and you offered to call my vet, my church, and others. You became an angel to me.
To the nurses who were there, I want to thank you for caring about me when I was ill and maybe having a heart attack. I was scared, frightened. I had no family, no one to call. I was worried about my dogs. I did not know what was happening to me and I just wanted to go home. You gave me the courage to get on the helicopter to go to UVA in Charlottesville. One of you became an angel.
You asked me for names to care for my dogs. You called me at UVA Charlottesville and you offered to call my vet, my church, and others. You became an angel to me. I do not even know "your name". I was so full of anxiety and you calmed me down. I am home now and at peace because "home is where the heart is." I was awake the whole time and praying. I realized God sends strangers into your life that you would never otherwise meet. In my case, I met you under the most unusual circumstance. I believe in God. I believe nothing or no event that alters life or death is a mistake.
Because I have survived, I would like to do something for the nurse who attended to me. I am changing my Trust & Will due to my experience. I would like to set up a nursing scholarship in the name of the nurse who followed up on me. You shall have to give me her name for me to execute this. If I had died, I would not be able to do so.

The impression Kelly made on this patient in just 55 minutes was unbelievable. She clearly lives our mission and vision daily. We just wanted to take this opportunity to thank her for providing the most remarkable patient experience, in every dimension, every time.
