April 2026 Honoree
Kelly Pruden, DNP, APRN, CPNP
Dr. Pruden does more than teach Pediatrics; she makes a profound impact on the lives of her students by reframing topics to help them see a space for problem-solving amid trauma and personal loss. Dr. Pruden models what it is to be an impactful educator in nursing. She inspires with patience, thorough knowledge, but above all, she is kind. Her kindness is not performative; it is woven into who she is. During an intense one-year program, knowing the penalties for missing clinicals, A student once showed up sick, terrified of falling behind. Instead of frustration, Kelly showed care, with the nurse's instinct at her core. In that moment, she was not just an instructor overseeing students. She was a healer. Her teaching made knowledge come alive. She did not just deliver information. She embedded it in us by sparking curiosity. She is shaping nurses who will go on to change lives because she first changed her students' lives.
Thank you, Kelly, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
