This year, I had an angiogram performed at Mercy West. This was the first time I had been to your hospital. I suffer from a medical condition and on the day of the procedure, my condition was more severe than normal.
My check-in nurse was Kelly Scroggins. Kelly was not only very professional but also compassionate. She noticed right away my condition and found my blood pressure was elevated. While checking me in she was able to not only perform her duties but also was able to calm me down with stories and humor. I could tell my comfort was her main concern. Her compassion and professionalism calmed me down.
After the procedure, she was right by my bedside making sure I was alright. My wife expressed that while I was having the procedure, she checked on her to make sure she was informed of what was going on, got her a cup of coffee, and made sure she was okay. Kelly then explained to my wife what needed to be done when I was released and what to watch out for.
Kelly is very professional, warm, and compassionate nurse. You are lucky to have such a wonderful nurse on your staff.
After leaving the hospital, we both felt that we had made a friend in Kelly.
