Professor Siler is a great clinical instructor who always made sure we had help and could ask questions during our times at clinical. She constantly helped us, the nurses, and the patients on the floor. She gave us lots of valuable nursing information while also checking up on us personally and sharing stories she has experienced working as a nurse. Professor Siler was always very pleasant and helpful, and I really enjoyed her as a clinical instructor.

Once at clinical Professor Kelly was helping me, and she caught a stroke, she was so amazing in doing what she needed to while being calm, and confident. Professor Kelly is constantly teaching us, and ensuring we know "why" to quite literally everything. She is always helping and speaks so well with patients, as well as comforting them and making them smile. Professor Kelly is a beyond amazing nurse!!

I have never felt more supported than I have with Professor Siler as my mentor and clinical instructor. She has made me feel more confident in clinical and has been such a shining inspiration as to how to be a compassionate and competent nurse. She is one of the best parts of the nursing program here at USM and is a shining example of a caring and intelligent individual who wants nothing but the best for you and your education/career/clinical experience.

Kelly Siler has not only demonstrated a high level of competence and skill in the field of nursing but also a true passion for caring for her patients and students. She has inspired me to be a great nurse and to pay attention to all the details. She stresses the importance of being kind and honest with patients, and I have appreciated learning from her.
