Kelly reacted very quickly during a critical situation for one of her post-op patients. Her patient complained of chest pain and Kelly sprang into action by immediately alerting the hospitalist and the surgeon, and obtaining an EKG. It turned out the patient was having a STEMI and the cath lab team was called. Kelly kept her patient calm and stayed in contact with 4 providers (which is not an easy feat). She carried out orders efficiently and helped save her patient's life. Kelly always has incredible critical thinking skills, but she went above and beyond during this emergency.
