My mom was admitted to St Dominic for what we thought was a gallbladder problem. After scans, she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. This was a shock for our family. Kelsey was our nurse throughout our stay and was so wonderful! She helped calm my mom and explained the procedures/results thoroughly. She was always compassionate and took her time to talk with us whenever we needed it. While we were scrambling to find a surgeon and an oncologist, she was right there with us helping to make a decision! She was a bright light through a very dark time for our family. We have had many hospital stays through the course of treatment for her pancreatic cancer but Kelsey was the most exceptional nurse we’ve ever had. We couldn’t have made it through our initial stay without her! We are so grateful for her and appreciate everything she did for us.
