Kelsey is always willing to help anyone and do anything that benefits patient care. She never complains and will always be the first to lend a helping hand.
There are many amazing stories of why she is a DAISY Nurse but this one really stands out. Kelsey has recently gone back to school to receive her RN degree while juggling family life and a full-time job. With her new RN title comes duties she wasn't able to perform prior. There was a patient who presented to a different clinic for a regular appointment, and this patient gets a medication through IV. The other clinic did not have the correct supplies so they called our clinic in Windom, MN to see if she was willing to do this. She graciously accepted even though she had never done this before. The patient was not willing to reschedule and was upset. Kelsey calmed the patient, the injection was performed and the patient left happy.
