I spent a full week in the postpartum ward of the hospital after an early and scary delivery of my son. I had severe preeclampsia, which developed into HELLP Syndrome, resulting in an emergency cesarean of my late pre-term son.

Having had a healthy, lovely pregnancy, it was shocking and frightening. Kelsey was my postpartum nurse during much of my stay, and she was such a grounding force during that challenging time. She was a wealth of knowledge and taught my husband and me so much. Her positive, calm, and friendly nature was really comforting- she has such a warm energy.

She supported me physically, mentally, and emotionally, taking the time to genuinely connect. Now, when I think of my son's birth and immediate postpartum, Kelsey is a key figure in that story, and I'll forever be grateful to her.
