Kelsey met me there in the morning with open arms, both physically and emotionally. She prepared us for what may happen, how long it may take, and what we may feel or experience.
Kelsey was my day shift nurse when I was laboring with my son. She recognized right away that there were positioning issues with the baby and quickly intervened. Despite doing interventions, I had to have a C-section, and Kelsey was constantly checking on me and holding my hand. She was very thoughtful and continued to check in on me after I had my baby. Kelsey is an amazing nurse!

It is not every day that you come into your place of work on what is anticipated to be and will be one of your worst days, and get the blessing of having a great friend and colleague take care of you and your husband through the loss of a child. I had an induction for the loss of my baby at 17 weeks for unexplained reasons. Kelsey met me there in the morning with open arms, both physically and emotionally. She prepared us for what may happen, how long it may take, and what we may feel or experience. She stayed late, even with her own 3 kids at home as a single mother, to be there with me when I delivered our baby boy. She made sure, even though he was not alive, that our boy was handled with care and respect. Kelsey gave us all the time with him, gave us special donated gifts, but tailored them to us and our family. Special teddy bears for our boys to remember their brother, whom they never got to meet. Having her there with us that day not only helped me physically, but was a big part of how I am grieving and getting through this loss emotionally, which is truly something special about Kelsey and the way she cares for her patients.
