... I gave my baby up for adoption. The labor was very unexpected. It happened very quick. I had everything planned, the way I wanted it go. As far as thought, I didn't want to see the baby. I had the adoptive mom in the room with me. I didn't want to see or hold him because I knew I wouldn't be able to go through with it. Kelsey was my nurse. She was good. If that part didn't go right, I wouldn't have been able to give him up for adoption. I even put on headphones. As soon as he came out, Kelsey helped me with my headphones so that I would not hear him cry. I knew if I heard him, the emotional attachment would keep me from going through with the adoption. Because of Kelsey I was able to go through with the adoption. That's a huge deal. She was just that good. She went above and beyond with everything! She even sat with me while I was crying; I saw her shed a tear too. She was just so awesome. She changed people's lives that day; I don't even think she knows.
