January 2021 Honoree
Kelsey Muir, RN
My grandfather came into the ED after a fall. He had a hematoma that ended up growing to the point where he was basically comatose, and on comfort care, as we waited for him to pass. That first night he was admitted to the SICU and Kelsey was his nurse. When I arrived, he was still conscious but could not really communicate. He was nauseated and vomited a few times. Kelsey was so caring the entire time. I felt very comfortable having her care for him. She changed his gown and tucked him in after he was sick. I found out Kelsey works with one of my best friends and we talked about her. It made the experience much more comfortable. Thank you, Kelsey, so much for what you do, and how you do it.
Thank you, Kelsey, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
