Kelsey Pope, RN

Someone in radiology reported she had a female patient that was in IR for a voiding cytogram. The patient was extremely terrified from going through a traumatic experience. She contacted Kelsey, the ED charge nurse, and requested assistance with the catheter insertion. Kelsey gladly came over to help. She reported that Kelsey was absolutely fabulous with the patient. Kelsey helped calm the patient and explained both the situation, the cath procedure, as well as the IR procedure, and whom to expect to be in the room during the procedure. Kelsey was kind, caring, and gentle and just talked her all the way through the procedure. This isn't an isolated event with Kelsey. She has a reputation for being helpful to her staff as well as other departments. This patient event just spotlighted her normal patient care for anyone she comes in contact with.
