Kelsey was my husband's nurse in August 2017. Her smile and easy professional manner had me knowing at once that she would be a great nurse, not only to my husband but also for the family that I knew would be coming in. She far exceeded this. Her dedication to her patient's family became more evident after having a couple of days off and returning to work she requested to take care of my husband. She knew it would be a difficult day as S was being taken off of the ventilator per his advanced directive. She did not shy away and in fact, the family got to see not only a great nurse but also a mentor as she had a student nurse with her.
As of writing this, I am still waiting for S to pass since being put on comfort measures. Whoever has Kelsey as a nurse is lucky. Your kindness will always be remembered.
