Kelsey always goes above and beyond in her care for patients. She always has a ready smile and is willing to do whatever she can to help the patient and the unit. She often comes in when we are down a nurse on the unit. She is also an excellent lactation resource and is able and willing to spend time with a new mom helping get her baby latched on correctly, even if the mom is not her patient. Kelsey is calm and level-headed. She orients new graduates and RN's with patience and expertise while providing excellent input and observations.
I had a tough delivery with a patient recently and Kelsey was there as a baby nurse, but I needed her for extra labor hands too. She just jumped in and did what the patient and I needed and then quickly began care of the newborn. I know that the unit benefits greatly from Kelsey's knowledge, skill, and delivery of care. Her patients think she is great and I do too!
