The patient's pathology results came back late in the day on a Monday. He was afraid he was not going to be able to start chemo until the next day. He had been waiting for 10 days forpath results and then he was heartbroken when they were not going to start chemo Monday. Kelsey stepped up and escalated this to the nursing director and pharmacy manager. She stayed two hours past the end of her shift to make sure the patient would get his chemo Monday night. We appreciate how she saw the urgency of the situation and stepped up to escalate this case.
