Kelsie, from the moment she entered the room, has been so caring, genuine, and helpful.
My 5-month-old little girl has been here for 2 days. This morning she had surgery by the colorectal Surgeon. We are staying here with our daughter at the hospital until she is released after a 7-day stay. Kelsie, from the moment she entered the room, has been so caring, genuine, and helpful. Kelsie was one of the only nurses that gave notice to us attempting over and over again to put our baby to sleep. After surgery, she would quietly come in and tenderly care for our daughter. She was the only nurse that sought out things to calm our crying baby. She hooked up a white noise machine, and brought a warm blanket. Her touch calmed our baby if anything.
Our daughter was not allowed to eat for 6 days due to her procedure and was constantly crying in hunger. And Kelsie has been patient and attentive with her. She has answered my million questions. I felt she cared what I had to say each time. Kelsie was the "one" that made this experience manageable. I felt relief with her as my daughter's nurse. I want to recognize Kelsie for her gift of working with crying, scared, exhausted, and frustrated family members who are here supporting their loved ones. Including her gift to handle patients, like our little 5-month-old daughter who is confused, hungry, and in pain. Thank you Kelsie!
