Kenny volunteered to accompany this veteran and his father to the museum to ensure all of his care needs were met and that the father and son were able to enjoy this memory.
Ken Renner is a very dedicated Hospice Nurse. He entered nursing as a second career after caring for his Mother, who died of ALS. He was so impressed with the Nursing care she received he decided to become an RN and chose Hospice as his path. We are so fortunate to have such a caring and compassionate Hospice Nurse. We had a young Veteran recently dying of end-stage Liver disease. The Air Force Veteran decided he wanted to go with his dad to the Air Force museum as one of his last wishes. Kenny volunteered to accompany this veteran and his father to the museum to ensure all of his care needs were met and that the father and son were able to enjoy this memory. Kenny dedicates time to teaching new RNs about the dying process. He is relatable and passionate about what he does. His education of nurses has given many of them more informed care in their work settings. Kenny is dedicated to making Veterans and other staff members feel welcome and part of the Victory Ridge family.
