Ken Schmitz-Lammers, BSN, RN

Ken has gone above and beyond to take care of me, sacrificing lunch and breaks. He advocated on my behalf to ensure not only that my pain is under control, but to have scheduled medications that, for the 1st time in a week, helped me rest and feel better. He went out of his way, during a busy day, to explain things to my 7-year-old granddaughter to bring comfort to her. This means more to me than he will ever know. He spends so much time just making sure I am taken care of. He feels like a blessing to me and my family. He cares for his patients like they are his family. Going through multiple health problems, including cancer, is so hard, and feeling like your nurse is going out of his way to make your day a little easier should be recognized and celebrated. He is an amazing nurse, always in my heart.
