Kendal exemplifies the term "Leader." Kendal demonstrates compassion every day. Her compassion extends beyond her staff and can be seen in all her interactions. She encourages nurses to be active and be their best! By encouraging staff to be their best, it shines through in each nurse's patient care.

With the use of professional development, Kendal motivates staff for greatness. When nurses grow professionally and personally, their compassion blossoms. She encourages everyone to participate and be heard. She wants nurses to have a seat at the table where crucial conversations are taking place. If you have met Kendal, you have met enthusiasm! Kendal makes coffee nervous. I have yet to see anyone who demonstrates her level of energy, and it is contagious!

You can share your goals with Kendal, and she says, "Let's make it happen!" She motivates me and all her staff to dream big, reach high, and work hard! Kendal keeps our outcomes and vision in the forefront, and it reminds our team that we can attain our goals if we don't forget them.

Kendal has an authentic leadership style where staff are drawn to her as a trusted force. Promoting a positive image for Kendal seems to come easy for her. Kendal is involved in many levels of Kaiser whether it be locally, here at SSC, or regionally. She has taken the lead of her peer group and by doing so, she exudes her enthusiasm regionally. Kendal genuinely wants the best for everyone, and her leadership helps not only our nurses, but members as well!
