I have just met this remarkable RN, Kendal Jaffe, for the first time. This is the first extended stay in a while, yet I've been here many times. Kendal shows genuine compassion and a positive attitude, even though I know I'm frustrating to deal with. She continued to have such an upbeat joy in her face and in her words of encouragement. One really big thing I took from her personality, is that she genuinely loves kids and people, and she tries to spread her infectious joy and kindness to everyone. She is happy to be at PICU. It's not just a job to do, but she is here for her patients and family. She is caring and compassionate, as well as knowledgeable. Kendal would be a great role model for all nurses, especially new RNs or anyone thinking of the long-term field of pediatrics.
