We had a patient in our unit that was very sick. The patient suddenly got ill and the parents made the decision to withdraw support in the best interest of the child. During this time Kendall Hoover stayed with the family and helped them through this difficult time. She walked the parents through the process and helped them make decisions that would make their child comfortable, she never left their side until the passing of the child and even then she stayed over her shift to do the after-care. The thing that makes Kendall so special is that she promised the parents that she would be there and she never left them to take care of her own personal needs.
