February 2023 Honoree
Kendall Reed 2, RN
I had a 20-day hospital stay at Penn Highlands Clearfield last year. It was very traumatic and I almost lost my leg and my life. Nurse Kendall Reed was the one bright spot in that stay. She went above and beyond for me.
Recently, 1 year later, I was admitted for an infection in the same leg. Admittedly I was terrified. To my great surprise, the first nurse I saw on the second floor was Kendall. Her familiar smiling face and gentle demeanor immediately put me at ease. I feel like God put her in my room that Wednesday evening. Not only is she an intelligent, hard-working nurse, but her heart of gold makes her one of a kind. I want her recognized with the DAISY Award for not only changing my life for the better but the lives of everyone she comes in contact with.
Note: This is Kendall's 2nd DAISY Award!
