Her communication between all departments and providers is always clear and professional, and she is not afraid to speak up when needed to make sure her patients receive the care and attention that they need.
I am so appreciative of the work that Kendra does for Shriners and the surgery patients that we serve.  In her work with patients prior to admission/surgery, utilizing her strong telephonic assessment skills, she has identified many patients that have had recent illnesses or significant changes to their health that would adversely affect their surgical outcomes if surgery were to proceed.  She asks great questions, has an inquisitive mind, and is not afraid to bring forward concerns to the appropriate providers to address these questions about changes in patient status, leading to overall healthier kids heading into surgery and consequently improved surgical outcomes.

Kendra always goes above and beyond when it comes to the detailed care she gives to her patients.  As our pre-admission nurse, Kendra never misses a beat when assessing her patients prior to their surgery and planning for their needs ahead.  Kendra always has a positive attitude and is willing to help and brings a smile to the team. Her communication between all departments and providers is always clear and professional, and she is not afraid to speak up when needed to make sure her patients receive the care and attention that they need.

Kendra is efficient in helping patients, families, and staff get the most out of their pre-admit visits.  Kendra knows when and who to call when issues arise.  Kendra is kind, humorous, and helpful.

Kendra demonstrates effective and efficient nursing skills in any role she is filling every shift.  Her attention to detail makes her perfect for the pre-admission role.  She is able to find things that have been missed or unknown prior to surgery scheduling; this skill ensures the safety of our patients.  Thank you Kendra for being so darn good at what you do!
