Kendra takes the time to actively listen, has a calming demeanor, and just the way she serves her patients reassures you that everything is going to be okay.
I was admitted to the hospital when I began showing signs of a stroke. A stroke alert was called and Kendra was the PCU nurse who arrived in CT scan, she stayed with me for my scan and was assigned to be my nurse when I was transferred to the PCU. Kendra is a phenomenal nurse. Her passion, compassion, and genuine care for her patients are extremely evident. She takes the time to actively listen, has a calming demeanor, and just the way she serves her patients reassures you that everything is going to be okay. I cannot express enough words to describe how remarkable Kendra is. Nursing is her God-given calling and purpose! We need more nurses like Kendra. There would be no way to duplicate her because she’s a rare and unique nurse, and many could learn from her. Kendra is a gift to any patient she serves and cares for. What was one of the scariest moments of my life, Kendra helped turn into a moment that we would get through together. Words to describe Kendra as a nurse: Extraordinary, phenomenal, attentive, compassionate, dependable, dedicated, empathic, caring, and professional. Kendra has a way of making you feel as if you were her most important patient. She wasn’t rushing out the door as I was trying to talk to her. She is present and attentive; she makes solid eye contact when speaking, and she listens. She was present in the moment. She made a huge impact and difference on my stay on PCU.
